Q:

When and where do you meet?

We rehearse on Monday evenings from 6-8pm. Our rehearsals are held at St. Luke's Church at 19644 N. 7th Ave. Phoenix, AZ.

Are there member fees?

There are no member fees, it is free to join and open to all!

Q:

Is this a religious group?

We are not endorsed by any religion, nor do we practice by any creed. This is primarily a choral community that sings sacred music.

Q:

Do I have to be Christian to join?

No! Kingdom Voices is open and welcoming to all. If you are interested in performing sacred music you are welcome to come join us, no matter your beliefs or background.

Q:

What  is sacred music?

Sacred music is music that traditionally was used in church liturgies (services). Over time, and with the spread of Christianity, the genre has grown to include mass settings, traditional hymns, Gregorian chant/Plainchant, Gospel, Spirituals, praise and worship (P&W), and Contemporary Christian (CCM).

How often do you perform?

We have two formal concerts (December & May), as well as the occasional community performance.

Q:

Do I have to audition?

We don't formally audition but we do voice placements for soprano, alto, tenor, and bass. Singers will be asked to match pitch in order to determine voice part.

Q:

Who can join?

Kingdom Voices in an intergenerational ensemble welcoming all age experiences. While there is no upper limit to join the choir, the minimum grade level to join is 9th grade (freshman in high school).
